About the Institute The Institute of Philosophy is an Institute of the University of London's School of Advanced Study. Founded in 2005, the IP was made possible by a generous private donation and matching funding from the University of London. WHAT IS THE INSTITUTE FOR? The Institute's aim is to promote and facilitate high quality research in philosophy, making it available to the widest possible audience both inside and outside the UK's academic community. WHERE IS THE INSTITUTE? The IP's offices are located in the University of London's offices in Stewart House, 32 Russell Square, London WC1. WHO RUNS THE INSTITUTE? Here is a list of the Institute's staff and a description of how it is managed. WHAT DOES THE INSTITUTE DO?
